The Ohio Department of Taxation has compiled a list of frequently asked questions covering many different categories.

If an individual qualifying investor is included in an Ohio IT 1140, is the individual required to file the IT 1040 Ohio individual income tax return?

Yes, the IT 1140 is a withholding form and thus does not satisfy the individual investor’s filing requirement. The individual is required to file an IT 1040 to claim the withholding.
