Frequently Asked Questions

The Ohio Department of Taxation has compiled a list of frequently asked questions covering many different categories.

To view the questions, click on the "Select Category" bar and then click on the category you are interested in.  A list of questions will appear pertaining to that category. Then click on the question you are inquiring about and the answer will appear.

What should I do if I have to log out of Income Tax Online services before I have finished making my payment?

You may return to the e-Payment system to begin the payment process again.

If you have authorized your payment, do not log out or close your browser until you have received your payment confirmation information. We recommend that you print or save this confirmation number. Once you have authorized your payment, your transaction will be completed, even if you log out or close your browser.
