In order to best serve Ohio taxpayers, the Ohio Department of Taxation relies on talented employees.
To view current job opportunities within the department, visit careers.Ohio.gov and search the state government job listings using the tools available there. Individuals who find a open position of interest at the Department of Taxation may then follow the local prompts to start the online application process.
Starting the application process includes filling out a general state job application form, known as an Ohio Civil Service Application, or GEN-4268. This general application can either be completed online or printed out and submitted to the Department of Taxation. This form takes the place of cover letters and resumes, which are not used by the Department of Taxation in the process of screening applicants. All employment and educational information should be listed on the form GEN-4268.
In order to complete the application process, individuals must also complete the form listed below:
- Application Supplemental Questionnaire (PDF)
This form is required in addition to the general state job application (GEN-4268). This form cannot be completed and submitted on-line. Instead, it must be printed, completed, notarized where required and returned to the department at the address listed below.
