Frequently Asked Questions Tool

The Ohio Department of Taxation has compiled a list of frequently asked questions covering many different categories.

To view the questions, click on the "Select Category" bar and then click on  the category you are interested in.  A list of questions will appear pertaining to that category. Then click on the question you are inquiring about and the answer will appear.

Do I have to validate my email address to receive electronic notification that a notice is available for viewing/printing?

Yes. You are also required to accept our terms of service to stop receiving paper notifications through the postal mail. Failure to validate your email address and/or failure to accept our terms of service will result in you receiving all notices through the postal mail.
