The Ohio Department of Taxation has compiled a list of frequently asked questions covering many different categories.

To view the questions, click on the "Select Category" bar and then click on  the category you are interested in.  A list of questions will appear pertaining to that category. Then click on the question you are inquiring about and the answer will appear.

Who is eligible to use Income Tax Online Services?

Ohio taxpayers who have successfully registered with our Online Services are eligible to use these free online services. You must successfully register by providing us with certain demographic data that matches what we have in our system (i.e. social security number, last name and date of birth). If you are a first time Ohio filer or have attempted to register but have been unsuccessful, click here to learn what you need to do to be eligible for this service. Once you have successfully registered with Ohio Income Tax Online Services you are able to access all of our online services.
