The Ohio Department of Taxation has compiled a list of frequently asked questions covering many different categories.

Who is eligible to use Income Tax Online Services?

Ohio taxpayers who have successfully registered with our Online Services are eligible to use these free online services. You will be required to provide your social security number, last name and date of birth. Additionally, you will be required to enter your 2013 federal adjusted gross income from your IT 1040 or 1040 EZ Ohio income tax return or the issue date of your current Ohio Driver's License or State ID. If you have attempted to register but have been unsuccessful, click here to learn what you need to do to be eligible for this service. If you filing an Ohio income tax return for the first time, you are not eligible to use Online Services. Once you have successfully registered with Ohio Income Tax Online Services you are able to access all of our online services.
