The Ohio Department of Taxation has compiled a list of frequently asked questions covering many different categories.

To view the questions, click on the "Select Category" bar and then click on the category you are interested in.  A list of questions will appear pertaining to that category. Then click on the question you are inquiring about and the answer will appear.

What should I do if I am unable to register?

If you are unable to register, you will be required to fax your Social Security card or IRS ITIN assignment letter, and at least one additional piece of identification which must include your date of birth. Acceptable identification includes a valid driver's license, state issued identification card, U.S. passport, or military ID (copy of both front and back sides required). If you are attempting to file a joint return, please include the documentation requested above for both parties.
