The Ohio Department of Taxation has compiled a list of frequently asked questions covering many different categories.

What is a nonbank financial organization?

A "nonbank financial organization" is an entity that engages in business primarily as a small dollar lender. A "small dollar lender" is any person primarily engaged in the business of loaning money to individuals if the loan is for one year or less and does not exceed $5000.00.
